Thomas (33) and Johannes (32) founded Donkong around 2013 over the internet as children of Soundcloud and Dubstep and in the beginning they experimented with different styles and tempi to find their very own language and strengths. Their early works got picked up by imprints around the globe and played by the biggest names of the industry. After struggling to find a steady home for their vision in Germany, they declined a major record deal and rebooted Donkong in a DIY manner to put out new music every month, and if needed completely on their own, from shooting their own music videos to creating their own artwork.
